Production interfaces
Evaluate pressure reduction between the incoming gas system and the required treatment or delivery conditions.
Onshore gas production
Convert gas pressure energy and available waste heat into useful electrical power at production, gathering and gas-treatment facilities.

The opportunity
WEX²® recovers a significant part of the pressure energy available in wellhead, gathering and treatment systems. The turboexpander converts over 80% of the available gas expansion energy into shaft power. Integrating available waste heat through the feed-gas heater increases electrical output. The installation is engineered for the facility’s gas conditions, downstream requirements and electrical interfaces.
How WEX²® worksEvaluate pressure reduction between the incoming gas system and the required treatment or delivery conditions.
Transfer available process waste heat into the gas upstream of the turboexpander and recover it as additional electrical power.
Compare recovered generation with site demand, electrical infrastructure and any available export arrangement.
Project development
A project-specific assessment establishes recoverable power, process effects and the preferred integration concept.
Composition, liquids, solids and water influence conditioning and the equipment specification.
Flow range, interruptions and future production forecasts determine annual recovery potential.
Tie-ins, heat supply, electrical connection and controls need clear battery limits and responsibilities.
Delivery
For suitable onshore assets, a dedicated project company can develop, finance, own and operate the agreed WEX²® installation. Commercial terms and customer-side scope are established case by case.
